About Damian
A poet with an MBA, Damian is an entertaining and insightful contradiction; part creative talent, part corporate executive. He is a respected commentator and advisor to corporate Australia on marketing, societal and political trends.Damian Morgan first honed his creative and performance skills as resident poet for national media outlets including the ABC, Fox Sports, Triple M and the Alan Jones program, and his audio release (Published ABC Enterprises and sold in ABC Shops) was a finalist for an Australian Poetry Award in 2000. His poetic tribute to the ANZAC’s, ‘Sir’, is taught in schools and included in Anzac Day services across Australia.
His business acumen has developed through his subsequent career as a successful advertising and public relations executive, and as a business journalist with Fairfax Media.
He has an MBA (Masters Business Administration) from the UQ Business School, post graduate qualifications from the Australian Film, Television and Radio School and a Bachelor of Business.
His understanding of business and government, his knowledge of current affairs, and his rare creative talent make him one of the most entertaining, topical and insightful speakers in Australia today.
His weekly syndicated radio segment, Wagging the Dog, is an entertaining take on the news of the day... and the spin that helped make it!
